Offline Life Update
Hey, (mood) readers!
I can’t believe this week has passed that quickly. I was drowning with work that I didn’t even notice that the days flew by. Most of the days, I have been too tired to even attempt to read a paragraph in a book. When I lay in bed and close my eyes, I feel like a few seconds have just passed but it’s already morning!
I also have been feeling stressed about the current political climate in my country, as well as the ongoing fight re: Black Lives Matter. I donated what I can to some projects, more on the local side, as I would like to start with my community!
Whoever you are I hope you can educate yourself and donate what you can to help everyone seeking for justice — and in my country, fighting for just the chance to live.
Please visit blacklivesmatters.carrds.co and parasapinas.carrds.co to know what I have been talking about.
This Week’s Blog Posts
I haven’t uploaded as much as I would have wanted, because of work and the state of my mental health. Here are the posts that I was able to share this week:
- Tuesday: 2020 Book Releases I Am Excited About – Part 4
- Thursday: Young Love, Football, and Dealing with Pain // Book Review: Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines
- Saturday: Urban Planners, Architecture, and Fake Relationships // Book Review: Playing House by Ruby Lang
Social Media Updates
I posted a photo on Bookstagram this week!
What I Have Been Watching
Being very busy this week, I was almost unable to watch anything. But, because of relaxing dinner times with my siblings, I was able to watch 2 episodes of the final season of 13 Reasons Why and 2 episodes of the latest season of Dynasty.
This Week’s LSS
I have been repeatedly listening to the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Anastasia on Spotify! While I was writing articles, I think I have listened to every song for about 10 loops already. This song, which is my favorite, I listened to about 40 times more!
New Books In My Library
Though I have everything that Colleen Hoover has written, I only have copies of 5 of her books. I am trying to buy more so I can complete them all. Today, I was able to add 2 more books – to make my total seven!
This week, the new members of my library are:
- – Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
- – Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover
What I Have Read This Week
I am very disappointed about myself this week. For some reason, I cannot even attempt to pick up a book. I was able to finish 2 audiobooks – but that’s just that. Sigh. Here’s hoping this week would be better.
Audiobook via Spotify
- Renaissance Man by Tessa Bailey
Audiobook via Scribd
- When You Were Mine by Lisa Swift
What I Am Currently Reading
I was too exhausted this week and it has been very hard to read even a few pages of some books. Unfortunately, these current titles are on hold:
- It Sounded Better In My Head by Nina Kenwood
- Don’t You Forget About Me by Mhairi McFarlane
I do have some time though for audiobooks, so I am currently listening to:
- This Train Is Being Held by Ismee Williams
What You Can Expect On The Blog Next Week
Should my plans fall through, you can expect the following posts in the next few days!
- Book Review: Under The Lights by Abbie Glines
- Book Review: The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
- Book Review: The Best Lies by Sarah Lyu
Mandatory Dog Photo Before You Go
Here’s a photo of my dog Munchie and I the moment I woke up. Without her, I might have lost my sanity — she’s the highlight of my week!
