Wishlist Wednesday #4: Magic, Fairytales & Filipino Culture

Hey, (mood) readers!

Wishlist Wednesday is where I talk about a book that I have not yet read and want to add to my book collection. It doesn’t matter if it had been published before or a future release. All that matters is that I want to read it.

By the way, my actual Book Depository Wishlist can be seen here.

Why Do I Want to Read This?

For this one, I have Shealea of Shut Up, Shealea to blame. I follow her on both Instagram and Twitter, so I was very much enticed by both her tweets and her book excerpt IG story. I have to admit Rin Chupeco was not really on my radar because I don’t usually pick up fantasy books. I had no idea she was Filipino until I stumbled upon Shealea’s posts.

Based on the teasers that Shealea posted, Wicked As You Wish is filled with Filipino culture and mythology. The Goodreads blurb also says there’s magic and fairy tales in an alternate universe setting. This is soooo crazy. I cannot wait to read about the Filipino representation in YA Fantasy.

So, so, so excited! March 2020 could not come any sooner!
