Hey, (mood) readers!
Mondays are always hectic, so here’s a short post. I’d like to start this weekly thing where I’ll post favorite quotes from books that I have read.
For this Monday, October 7th, here’s my entry.
“Except . . . sometimes I feel like I’m the last alone person. Like maybe there aren’t seven and a half billion people in the world. Maybe there are seven and a half billion and one.
I’m the one.”
“..But if I had to describe the feeling of a crush, I’d say this: you just finished running a mile, and you have to throw up, and you’re starving, but no food seems appealing, and your brain becomes fog, and you also have to pee. It’s this close to intolerable. But I like it.
More than like it. I crave it.”
“There’s just something terrifying about admitting you like someone. In a way, it’s actually easier when there’s no chance of anything happening. But there’s this threshold where things suddenly become possible. And then your cards are on the table. And there you are, wanting, right out in the open.”
“I don’t entirely understand how anyone gets a boyfriend. Or a girlfriend. It just seems like the most impossible odds. You have to have a crush on the exact right person at the exact right moment. And they have to like you back. A perfect alignment of feelings and circumstances. It’s almost unfathomable that it happens as often as it does.”
“So, maybe I should let my heart break, just to prove that my heart can take it.”
“Here’s the thing: I’m used to being told I have a pretty face. Or pretty hair, or pretty eyes. But it’s different, being called beautiful. Just beautiful, without conditions.”
Are you familiar with these quotes?
I have read this book last year and it was one of my faves!
The quotes are from:

The writing style sounds nice. Great quote choices, definitely makes me a bit more interested in this one. I see this book frequently when browsing Amazon or ThriftBooks, must be a sign lol.

Aww, I loved TUOU too! It was so relatable, especially Molly’s body image issues. As a plus-sized girl I’m so glad younger kids struggling with their weight/body image now have this book to read and comfort them. ❤ ❤

I’m a plus-sized girl, too, which is why this one was close to my heart. 🙂
