The Cheerleaders is an okay read. That’s basically what I can say about this one. I did not hate it, but I did not love it, too.
Maybe I should have read this one before Little Monsters because that book gave me the chills and raised my expectations.
This book had so much promise, from the title and the blurb.. I was expecting so much. Sadly, the story was a little to basic, I guess, and I was looking for something that would make the book something worth remembering.
The plot twist was great though. I did not expect, so I have to give the author points for that.
This book read like a traditional mystery but it was written with more speculation, conversations, and the character’s thoughts instead of more action. That is fine by me, especially since the mystery can still be felt because of the audiobook style.
I am still eager to read more Kara Thomas books. I hope the next one will be more if my style.
