Home for June is the sixth novel in the Tarrin’s Bay series. It can be read as a standalone since the series features different Tarrin’s Bay locals. Home for June revolves around Hannah, moving out into Sydney soon and selling their property, and Luca, Hannah’s decades-long crush and future buyer of the property.
I felt like this book overshadowed the romance and focused on the community living in itself. There was so much on the history building, then how to launch a business. Very little on the romance, only on self reflection and hidden feelings and I have to admit I was bored most of the time.
A great bonus is Scarlet the dog and the cute chickens.
I am interested to reading the author’s other works as I saw she has romantic comedy novels on her profile, but I’m quitting this series.

“Dogs were easier companions than men. She always knew where she stood, and always received unconditional love and loyalty. Maybe that was all she needed. Kisses were nice, but they were only temporary.”
