“I don’t know if we’re a love story or a story about love. But I know whatever we are that it’s great because we kept jumping through the hoops in the first place.”
This is the story of Arthur and Ben. (Two of the softest cinnamon rolls I have ever read. Sorry.) A meet cute in the post office of New York City brought them together and then broke them apart, wishing to meet each other again in the sea of people in NYC.
I have to admit, I did not like it at first. I found the boys to be incompatible, and I also did not like how the plot was unfolding. Blame me, because I did not read the blurb again.
Maybe it was just a bad day, because finishing this just now, I am smiling because of how great the book was.
Actually, I need more Arthur and Ben. They do not deserve that ending! Even that flimsy epilogue. They do not deserve that. And I do not deserve that!
Frankly, I am more of a Becky fan than an Adam fan… and it shows which boy Becky wrote. I love all the pop culture references. I love all the millenial/Gen Z talk. It’s cute and references just have the tendency to draw me in.
Overall, a cute book. All rainbows, butterflies and bittersweet first (for one), young (for both) love.
