Then She Was Gone was a wonder for me to read. I have two books of Lisa Jewell from many many years ago, and this was not her genre. I am half-surprised and half-proud for how beautifully written this book was.
The major plot points and plot twists of this story can be anticipated or guessed if you are a fan of mysteries, but this did not hinder me from enjoying it. The story is still as bizaare and creepy and horrifying, come to think of it.
I love the alternating narrations that get you bouncing through the feelings and thoughts of multiple characters. Second person POV even gives me a creepier feeling, so there’s a plus.
I would definitely like to check out more of Lisa Jewell’s recent books. She is a good one.
