Franchesca, Frankie for short, is a no nonsense working class girl finishing her MBA. Fierce, brave, strong and definitely guarded. One good thing about her? She loves her best friend.. even if they are complete opposites! Pruitt, her dear best friend, is now getting married and Frankie has no issues with that as she loves Chip (the groom), too!

And then, she meets Aiden Killbourn, the best man and Manhattan’s richest. Frankie hates the rich, believing they are just shallow and arrogant, which they usually are in that world. The hate, of course, is extended to Aiden, especially when they started off on the wrong foot.

After a kidnapping/abduction, Frankie and Aiden were forced to work with each other, and a whole lot of attraction and sexual tension ensue. They had one hot night together and Aiden could not get enough. He proposed a temporary fling and the story unfolds with “should it really be just temporary?”

🌻 Blurb:⭐⭐⭐
Quite promising, but I never really understood whether the kidnapping part was really necessary.
🌻 Hero:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our dear Aiden was just really misjudged. I love how he knows to be responsible. He is very likeable and actually really hot. He knew what he wanted and worked to get it.
🌻 Heroine:⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love that Franchesca was sassy but sophisticated. She was never a timid virginal wallflower and that was great. But, I hated the push and pull part. Ugh.
🌻 Support Characters:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pru and Chip were very adorable. The Baranski family was a barrel of laughter but also a great support system.
🌻 Writing Style:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Funny and hot in the right times. I definitely love the banter.
🌻 Character Development:⭐⭐⭐
I was expecting more from Frankie. Some of her actions were a tad bit shallow.
🌻 Romance:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just the right amount.
🌻 Pacing:⭐⭐⭐
Weirdly paced. For some reason, I really hate the first part.
🌻 Ending:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love the HEA. Yaaaay.
🌻 Page Turner:⭐⭐⭐
Only because of the writing style, but the material was really slow at times.
🌻 Book Cover:⭐⭐⭐
A bit too ordinary for me.

“I was merely making an observation.”
“You were pre-judging,” she countered.
“Sometimes a judgment begs to be made.

“I couldn’t tell if you two were fighting or flirting,” Pru yelled over the music.
“Flirting? You’re joking, right? I’m way out of his league.

“Franchesca, I don’t want you to ever feel like you have to be nice to someone who isn’t treating you the way you deserve to be.”

“When are you going to give up on dragging me into monogamous bliss?” he asked Chip.
His friend grinned. “When you find someone who makes you feel the way I do about Pru.”
“I’m a Kilbourn. We’re not capable of feelings. Only beneficial mergers.”

I want you to find someone who makes you feel like you’re flying. Someone who makes you look forward to the next fifty years.

“Thank you for thinking of me.”
“I have a feeling I’ll be doing a lot of that.”
