“And the absolute craziest part of it all? I haven’t gotten laid in three goddamn weeks, but if this is all we do—kissing, with her against me, my arms around her—I’ll be grinning in the morning like a guy who banged a whole sorority house full of cheerleaders.”
I felt like Emma Chase made up for what was missing from the first book of this series. I fell hard and went insanely crazy for this one.
Sustained gave me a book husband. Not just a boyfriend. But one heck of an amazing book husband. Jake made me love him, inspite of reading this book purely from his viewpoint. Jake may have a troubled past but he worked his way to be a way better man. Chelsea is a perfect partner for him, too. The six kids and the dynamic with them made the story something to be attached to. The kids made the story sooo lovable. I can’t describe how happy I felt with the way this story flowed.
“I’m hoping for more. I want everything—all the secret, sweetest parts of her—but if this is all I get to have tonight? It’s enough.”
☁ THE CRITERIA ☁
When I read it, I felt really excited to go through the story.
AN IDEAL BOOK HUSBAND. Hot, smart, sexy, selfless, brave, clever, sensitive and good with kids. What. Send help.
I admire Chelsea for standing up for her family. I am 25, she is 26, and I can’t imagine how to manage six kids. I have two dogs and they tire me so much all the time.
🌻 Support Characters:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The kids are the best. Smart, sweet and made everything so damn funny. Stanton and Sofia are back and I liked them better now. Brent, too.
🌻 Writing Style:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Emma Chase is the Queen of Writing the Male POV. 🙌🙌
🌻 Character Development:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Not much too develop. Both were already quite strong to begin with.
I thought it would be less hot with all the kids roaming around. But Emma Chase kept on inserting them sexy scenes even when I’m not expecting. Haha.
I was expecting 2 of the conflicts, I just did not expect it to happen at the same time. Wow.
I love weddings. And engagements. And more of the kids. Oops.
🌻 Page Turner:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌻 Book Cover:⭐⭐⭐
Not what Jake looked like in my head. But still very very hot.
☁FINAL VERDICT: 4.6 minus HALF A STAR. Thinking less of One Direction is a NO -NO IN MY BOOK. ✌ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ☁
