Royally Endowed by Emma Chase [8/57 * 2018]

Royally Endowed (Royally, #3)Royally Endowed by Emma Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review originally published on Goodreads – July 21, 2018.

“It’s my job to keep Ellie Hammond safe. All of her. Her body as well as her sweet little soul. And I’m damn good at what I do, but more than that, I want to protect her. Because she’s kind and clever, lovely and precious… and fuck.. somebody has to care enough to keep that safe.”

Third book of the Royally series and boy, I am swooning.

Logan, the hot bodyguard, and Ellie, the mesmerizing little sister were given their own story. I swear from the start I was swooning and sighing and fangirling so hard because this is definitely a ship I yearn to sail.

Frankly, I never had an idea that Emma Chase was planning something for them. During the first book, I thought Ellie was too young for any of the boys. And maybe I was preoccupied by Olivia and Nicholas, plus the enigmatic Henry.

“But the crazy, awesome, amazing thing that gets my heart pounding so loud it drowns out the sound of the music? When I look at Logan St. James across the room, he’s not searching the crowd for threats. He’s not looking in front of him, so he’s ready for whatever may come.
Instead, when I indulge in my daily Logan stare-fest… he’s staring right back at me.

I enjoyed so much of this book. I loved me some pining. Pining that took years. Slow burn, indeed.

“I’m not a fool; I know Ellie’s crushing on me hard. I’m aware of how she looks at me when she thinks I’m not looking: so idolizing it feels like I’m on a pedestal fifty-feet tall. Other times, her stare is so naked with desire it hits me like a punch to the gut.”

Another great plus is that there was lots of exposure to the two couples of the series. They’re all interconnected and they all have a great influence in Logan and Ellie’s decision making.

“You can leave me with Logan, Henry. He’s my hero.”
Henry cocks his head suspiciously. “Is that so?”
“Totally.” Ellie sighs, petting my arm. “My pretty, pissed-off guardian angel.”

☁ THE CRITERIA ☁

🌻 Blurb: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
To be honest, I did not read the blurb as I jumped straight into the series. I read it just now and it is on point. It is enticing and piques curiosity.
🌻 Hero:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love me a brave, hot and strict hero. Logan is one of them and a whole lot more.
🌻 Heroine:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ellie captured my heart even right from the start. She deserves a happy ending of her own because she is such a loving daughter and sister.
🌻 Support Characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I can’t believe how heavy the role of the first two couples are in this book. I missed them a whole lot and it’s nice to know how their stories progressed.
🌻 Writing Style: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Emma Chase is the master of the male POV. She really convinces me. No words are enough to tell how much I love her style.
🌻 Character Development:⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m thankful that both main characters’ back stories wete highlighted here. They were sure of each other from the start. Both were really really brave as well.
🌻 Romance:⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love the teasing and the pining so much. I loved the deep conversations. I loved the slight angst, drama and tension.
🌻 Pacing: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A few time jumps, but it was needed for this story.
🌻 Ending:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Perfect ending with little sneak peaks on the lives of the other two couples. And the Queen, too.
🌻 Page Turner:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There was a bit of crime and mystery. Which made me more curious as I turned each page.
🌻 Book Cover:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very hot. Very Logan. Cheers.
