“It wasn’t a real kingdom with land and castles; it was a kingdom of dreams—a place where things would be just the way I wanted them to be.”
Aaaahhh. Judith McNaught. One of the first authors I have ever loved. I remember when I was 14 or 15, my mom bought all of her books and was obsessed. I read some of it and I loved all of those. Now, 10 years after, I have decided to reread one of her works.. your first published work. I remember how much I loved the Judith McNaught style of storytelling. I may not be a big fan of historical romances, this one did not bore me or make me lose interest. It was a great love story with many other stories to tell.
My plan is still to read all of Judith McNaught’s works maybe before this year ends. ❤
☁ THE CRITERIA ☁
Stockholm Syndrome type of story set in the medieval times. Yes.
Royce was a bit too brute for my taste. I wanted to love him but I was not a fan of his other choices.
I love Jenny and how strong, brave and fierce she is.

All the knights were fun to read. Aunt Elinor is very amusing.
🌻 Writing Style:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Not her best work, but still a great read.
🌻 Character Development:⭐⭐⭐
Too many events to focus on the romance.
🌻 Page Turner:⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌻 Book Cover:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Old book cover is pretty. Simple but pretty. But the ebook cover is soooo beautiful. I love it.
